چکیده

Now-a-days Hardware and Software are developing very high level. But with the increasing of SOC designs, Hardware dependent Software (HDS) become Critical. In Previous work they introduced abstract RTOS modeling, which exposes dynamic scheduling effects early in the system design. However, such models insufficiently capture preemption. But the accuracy of preemption depends on the granularity of the timings. So we cannot take accurate readings. For an accurately modeled interrupt response time, very fine-grained timing annotation is necessary. It contradicts the RTOS abstraction idea and is detrimental to simulationion idea and is detrimental to simulation

Customization of a Real-Time Operating System Scheduler with Aspect-Oriented Programming

Tasks of an application program of an embedded system are managed by the scheduler of a real-time operating system (RTOS). Most RTOSs adopt just fixed priority scheduling, which is not optimal in all cases. Some applications require earliest deadline first (EDF) scheduling, which is an optimal scheduling algorithm. In order to develop an efficient real-time embedded system, the scheduling algor...

Exact best-case response time analysis of real-time tasks under fixed-priority pre-emptive scheduling for arbitrary deadlines

In this paper, we present a conjecture for exact best-case response times of periodic released, independent real-time tasks with arbitrary deadlines that are scheduled by means of fixed-priority pre-emptive scheduling (FPPS). We illustrate the analysis by means of an example. Apart from having a value on its own whenever timing constraints include lower bounds on response times of a system to e...

Market-based Resource Allocation for Grid Computing: A Model and Simulation

Resource allocation is an important aspect of Grid computing. One approach uses market mechanisms to allocate resources. In this paper, we review the literature on market-based resource allocation for Grid computing classifying approaches as modelor state-based and pre-emptive or non-pre-emptive. Many of the existing market-based approaches take it for granted that markets are an improvement. W...

Short-term Price-based Unit Commitment of Hydrothermal GenCos: A Pre-emptive Goal Programming Approach

The solution of single-objective unit commitment problems for generation companies participating in deregulated markets may not directly be implementable mainly because of neglecting some conflicting secondary objectives arising from policy-making at internal/external environment. Benefiting an efficient multi-objective approach to improve the applicability of price-based unit commitment soluti...

Extending RTAI/Linux with Fixed-Priority Scheduling with Deferred Preemption

Fixed-Priority Scheduling with Deferred Preemption (FPDS) is a middle ground between Fixed-Priority Preemptive Scheduling and Fixed-Priority Non-preemptive Scheduling, and offers advantages with respect to context switch overhead and resource access control. In this paper we present our work on extending the realtime operating system RTAI/Linux with support for FPDS. We give an overview of poss...
